NEXEN TIRE officially launched two new tire ranges to Malaysian motorists, each built around a core safety priority:
>the N'BLUE S, a touring tire engineered for wet-road performance, reducing the risk aquaplaning, and
>the N'FERA PRIMUS UX, an ultra-high-performance tire with a reinforced construction for enhanced comfort and stability.
Both tire ranges are suited to Malaysia's tropical climate, where frequent rainfall, year-round high temperatures and long-distance highway travel place varying demands on tire performance. The introduction coincides with the start of the year-end monsoon and serves as a timely reminder to Malaysians on fitting their vehicles with the correct tires as a matter a safety.
The N'BLUE S and N'FERA PRIMUS UX are developed for both electric vehicles (EVs) and internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. With EV's heavier curb weights and instant torque placing different demands on tire engineering, tread design and compound safety, NEXEN TIRE's EV ROOT mark makes it easy for owners to identify EV-compatible tires.
Drawing on more than eight decades of South Korean tire manufacturing and R&D, both ranges carry the EV ROOT mark, signifying tires that can handle the added weight and instant torque of an EV without the need for a separate EV-specific version.
N'BLUE S Ñ Wet-Weather Traction for the Downpour
The N'BLUE S is a touring tire built to keep drivers in control when heavy rain hits. Its tread design is designed to channel water away from the contact patch to reduce the risk of aquaplaning, while a low rolling resistance construction helps reduce fuel consumption.
The range is fitted as original equipment on selected vehicles including the Volkswagen Golf and Audi A3, and is available in Malaysia in 110 sizes spanning 14 to 17-inch rim diameters.
N'FERA PRIMUS UX Ñ High-Speed Stability, One Universal Fit
The N'FERA PRIMUS UX is an ultra-high performance tire that features a reinforced construction designed to keep the tire stable on highways, giving drivers greater confidence on long journeys. It also delivers approximately 20 per cent improved tread wear over its predecessor.
Designed around the One Universal Fit strategy, the N'FERA PRIMUS UX is suitable for marques ranging from European to Japanese, South Korean and Chinese makes.
To give customers added peace of mind, both ranges are covered under the NEXEN TIRE Exchange Programme, which provides six months of unconditional one-to-one replacement against eligible road hazard damage*1. The programme is available now through participating distributors, and customers are required to register their tires at the point of purchase.
Looking ahead, NEXEN TIRE Malaysia is developing its own warranty programme to further strengthen customer support and enhance the ownership experience for Malaysian motorists, with more information to be shared in due course.
